Viva, the biggest maker of aluminium composite panels (ACP) in Asia, has received an important environmental certification called an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). This certification shows that Viva is serious about protecting the environment and being open about how its products affect the planet.
The EPD covers different types of Viva panels, including fire-resistant ones (Class A2 and B1) and regular panels. It looks at the full life cycle of each panel—starting from raw materials all the way to recycling after use. The report shows that up to 95% of the aluminium and 90% of the plastic (polyethylene) used in these panels can be recycled. This supports the idea of a circular economy, where materials are reused instead of wasted.
Choosing Viva’s EPD-certified panels helps builders and architects earn up to two LEED points in green building projects. The certification also meets major international standards like LEED, BREEAM, IGBC, and GRIHA.
“This certification is a big step forward in our green journey,” said Nitin Jain, Director at Viva. “It shows our promise to make eco-friendly products and build a better future.”
Viva’s panels are known for being strong, lightweight, and stylish. They are used in many places—from building exteriors and interiors to signs, vehicle interiors, furniture, and even solar panel setups.
These panels are made in Viva’s modern factory in Umbergaon, Gujarat, using advanced Korean technology. With the EPD certification, Viva becomes one of the few Indian companies in its industry with global-level green credentials—helping builders and designers choose products that are good for the environment.
