  • UltraTech Cement Adds New Grinding Mill at Maihar Plant

UltraTech Cement, India’s biggest cement company, has started a new cement grinding mill at its Maihar plant in Madhya Pradesh. This is the second mill at this location and will produce 1.8 million tonnes of cement every year. The first mill at Maihar started working in March 2025.

This new mill is part of UltraTech’s plan to grow its business. Now, the company’s total cement-making capacity in India has increased to 186.86 million tonnes per year. If we include its international operations, the total capacity is 192.26 million tonnes per year.

In terms of money, UltraTech earned an EBITDA (a measure of profit) of Rs 46.18 billion in the quarter ending March, which is 12.6% more than the Rs 41.14 billion it made in the previous quarter. However, its profit margin dropped slightly from 20.2% to 20%.

UltraTech is part of the Aditya Birla Group. It provides cement for homes, buildings, and big infrastructure projects. The company also makes ready mix concrete and special types of cement. It is working to be more eco-friendly by using energy-saving technology and low-carbon methods. UltraTech operates in over 20 countries.
