Shree Cement is becoming a leader in eco-friendly cement making. Over 60% of the electricity it uses now comes from green energy like solar and wind power. The company now has 582 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy, showing its strong move towards low-carbon production.
Recently, Shree Cement started a new 60.3 MW solar power plant in Jodhpur, which adds more power to its green energy plan. The company is focused on fighting climate change and is spending a lot on clean energy to grow in a sustainable way.
It uses solar power, wind energy, and waste heat recovery systems in its factories to cut down pollution. On World Environment Day, MM Rathi, Joint President – Power Management, said, “We are building a company for the future based on sustainability, innovation, and performance. Green energy is not just a smart business decision, it’s our promise for a cleaner and better future.”
Shree Cement has added green energy at every step of its work—from getting raw materials to making cement, packing, and transporting it. The goal is to reduce pollution, save energy, and keep the business strong in the long run.
They also use smart technology to manage energy better and use less coal or other polluting fuels. Because of these efforts, Shree Cement has received top awards like the CareEdge ESG 1 rating and was named an “Industry Mover” in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2025, showing it’s a leader in eco-friendly business.
