Nielsen, a audience data and analytics company has opened offices in Mumbai and Bengaluru to grow its business and technology in India. The new offices are located in Goregaon, Mumbai and Whitefield, Bengaluru as part of the company’s expansion plans in the region.
The Mumbai office is 1,50,000 sq ft and the Bengaluru office is 1,36,000 sq ft. These offices have flexible workspaces, energy efficient systems and features that promote employee well-being like automatic lighting and optimized water usage. They also have collaboration spaces, networking areas and comfortable furniture to help employees work better. Each office can accommodate 1,500 employees.
Nielsen’s CEO Karthik Rao said that India’s growing media market, digital consumption and demand for data insights are the reasons for opening these offices. The company plans to strengthen its research and development, sales and operations in India to serve its clients better and keep up with the market changes.
Nielsen is also planning to open more offices in India including in Gurgaon and Hyderabad. Recently the company signed an agreement with the Maharashtra government to invest Rs 450 crore in the state’s tech sector. This investment will create 1,100 jobs in areas like AI, data science and analytics.
Nielsen has also partnered with JioStar ahead of the 2025 IPL season to provide advanced analytics for its JioHotstar platform to measure campaigns.
With these expansions and investments Nielsen is deepening its role in India’s tech and analytics space, focusing on innovation, growth and job creation.
