  • JSW Cement Launches New Water-Resistant Cement for South India’s Wet Climate

JSW Cement, part of the big JSW Group, has launched a special type of cement called CHD Waterguard. This cement is made to fight problems caused by too much water and moisture—especially in South India, where there is a lot of rain, humidity, and salty air near the coast.

CHD Waterguard uses something called Turbo Gel Technology, which makes the cement strong, long-lasting, and water-resistant. It helps stop problems like water seepage, damp walls, and rusting of iron inside the concrete. It also keeps the house dry and safe for many years.

The CEO of JSW Cement, Nilesh Narwekar, said that homes in South India face damage due to heavy rains and salty air. This new cement is a smart solution to protect homes from these problems.

The cement is made with slag-based materials, which are more eco-friendly. It also makes the concrete smoother, easier to work with, and stronger after it hardens. This means lower maintenance and better-looking walls.

The company’s Chief Marketing Officer, Hitendra Jariwala, said, “This is not just cement—it protects your dream home. It’s a new way of thinking about cement.”

CHD Waterguard is great for homeowners, builders, and engineers who build in rainy or coastal areas. To help people learn more, JSW Cement will organize live demos, training for masons, and events for engineers and contractors.
