JK Cement has started making and selling a new type of cement called Portland Calcined Clay Limestone Cement (LC-3) at its Mangrol plant in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. This cement is made under the IS 18189:2023 standard and has approval from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
LC-3 is better for the environment because it produces up to 40% less carbon dioxide than normal cement. It is made with 50% clinker, 30% heated clay, and 15% limestone.
The company plans to supply this cement for big infrastructure projects in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and other areas. LC-3 supports JK Cement’s sustainability goals, which include reducing carbon emissions, reusing materials, saving resources, and creating eco-friendly products.
