  • India’s Shift to Green Steel for Cleaner Construction

India has commenced the use of “green steel” for the first time. Green steel emits much less pollution compared to standard steel. ARS Steel produced special steel bars and shipped them to Epic Group, which is constructing a new factory in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

This factory will be extremely environmentally friendly. It will not waste water or energy and will employ clean materials. The steel bars from ARS are produced with 98% recycled metal and clean energy. They don’t consume coal or gas, which reduces pollution significantly.

Typically, steel in India produces around 2.5 tons of carbon pollution per ton produced. But ARS Steel’s bars produce just 0.59 tons — that’s four times lower! Due to this, India has awarded ARS a highest “5-star” green rating.

These robust steel bars are utilized to construct roads, buildings, and bridges. By utilizing green steel, Epic Group is reducing 20% of the pollution from their new factory building.

Also, to ensure that everything remains honest and transparent, a technology firm named sentra.world is employing intelligent tools such as AI and blockchain to monitor the pollution in real time. This makes constructing in India greener and more transparent.
