Dalmia Bharat has started commercial production at its new grinding unit in Lanka, Hojai district, Assam on March 15, 2025. The new unit of Dalmia Cement (North East) will produce 2.4 million tonnes of cement per annum. With this addition, the company’s total cement production capacity has gone up from 46.6 million tonnes to 49 million tonnes per annum. Currently the plant is running at 60% of its capacity.

The expansion which cost Rs 696 crore was funded through a mix of loans, equity and internal resources. The new facility will cater to the growing demand of cement in North East and will strengthen Dalmia Bharat’s presence in Assam and surrounding areas. This project supports company’s growth plans and will help in regional infrastructure development and construction projects.
