Aditya Ultra Steel Ltd (NSE – AUSL), which produces steel under the ‘Kamdhenu’ brand, is constructing a solar power plant to power its factory with green energy. The company is investing Rs 15 crore to set up a 5,000 KWP solar plant in Jasdan, Rajkot district, Gujarat.
The sun plant is also being installed in Village Kundani and will supply power directly to AUSL’s steel factory in Wankaner, Rajkot. The factory produces TMT bars (construction used) and has the capacity to manufacture 108,000 metric tons annually.
This will assist the company in saving on electricity bills and reducing pollution. AUSL sanctioned this project in a board meeting held on April 29, 2025. The site for the solar plant will be leased from KPI Green Energy Ltd., a renowned solar power firm.
AUSL states this is part of its long-term strategy to save costs and be more environmentally friendly. A spokesperson for the company said, “Steel is necessary for construction, but clean energy is the future. This project demonstrates that we care about industry as well as the environment.”
AUSL was incorporated in 2011 and listed on the NSE-SME exchange in September 2024. It raised Rs 45.88 crore from its IPO to expand its business.
During the first half of financial year 2025, AUSL brought in Rs 312 crore as revenue, with operating profit of Rs 10.5 crore and net profit of Rs 5.2 crore. In the complete financial year 2024, it reported Rs 588 crore as revenue and Rs 7.69 crore as net profit.
