  • JK Lakshmi Cement Merges Udaipur Cement Works to Boost Efficiency and Growth

JK Lakshmi Cement, one of India’s major cement companies and part of the JK Organisation, is merging its subsidiary Udaipur Cement Works (UCWL) into the main company. The boards of both companies have approved this plan.

The merger will make the company’s structure simpler, cut costs, and help both teams work together better. It will also improve how resources are used, make transport and delivery more efficient, and give customers a more unified service.

Ms Vinita Singhania, Chairperson and Managing Director of JK Lakshmi Cement, said this is a big step forward in the company’s growth. She explained that the new, combined company will be stronger, faster, and better prepared for the future, while serving customers well and increasing shareholder value.

Mr Arun Shukla, President and Director of JK Lakshmi Cement, said the merger will remove unnecessary overlaps, make the company more flexible, and help it grow faster, innovate, and work more closely with customers.

As part of the changes, Shrivats Singhania, who was CEO of UCWL, has become Deputy Managing Director of JK Lakshmi Cement. He said he is excited about the new role and wants to use the combined strengths of both companies to bring in new ideas and improve operations.

The merger will also help reduce waste, save money, and make production and distribution more efficient. UCWL’s modern cement plant in Udaipur, Rajasthan will now fully be part of JK Lakshmi Cement, giving the company more power to grow sustainably and stay ahead in the market.
