Ramco Cements has sold assets that are not part of its main business for ₹24 crore as part of its plan to raise money. This includes ₹19.77 crore earned by selling shares it held in other companies, and ₹4.28 crore from selling land it owned. The sale was completed on 11 July 2025 at 11 a.m. and was large enough to be considered an important financial event (above the ₹15.7 crore mark).
So far, the company has made a total of ₹484 crore by selling such non-core assets. Ramco Cements aims to make ₹1,000 crore in total through these sales over time.
However, the company is going through a tough time financially. In the January–March 2025 quarter, its profit dropped by 74.5%, falling to ₹31 crore from ₹121 crore in the same period last year.
