UltraTech Cement has started a second cement grinding mill at its Maihar plant in Madhya Pradesh on June 26. This new mill can produce 1.8 million tonnes of cement every year. The first mill at this plant started working in March 2025.
With this new addition, UltraTech’s total grey cement production capacity in India is now 186.86 million tonnes per year. If we include its plants in other countries, the company’s total global cement capacity is now 192.26 million tonnes per year.
In its financial report for the January to March 2025 quarter (Q4), UltraTech Cement posted a profit of ₹24.82 billion. This is 10% more than the ₹22.58 billion profit from the same period last year, but it was slightly less than what experts expected (₹25 billion).
The company earned ₹230.63 billion in revenue during the quarter, which is a 13% increase from ₹204.19 billion last year. However, this number was a little lower than the ₹235.05 billion estimated by CNBC-TV18 analysts.
