Embassy Office Parks REIT has invested Rs 100 crore to fund the Metro ORR project which is a part of Bengaluru’s growth. This investment will support the construction of Kadubeesanahalli Metro Station on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) which will be named “Embassy TechVillage Kadubeesanahalli Metro Station” for 30 years after it opens.
Embassy REIT and Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) have signed an agreement to construct this new metro station on the ORR route. The Metro ORR Project is led by BMRCL and covers 17 km from Central Silk Board Junction to KR Puram. The 16 stations on this route will benefit thousands of people especially those working in Bengaluru’s business districts like Embassy TechVillage.
Continued Support for Bengaluru’s Growth
Ritwik Bhattacharjee, CEO of Embassy REIT said, “As Bengaluru grows as a global business hub, we need to improve its infrastructure. Embassy REIT is committed to long term investments to solve urban challenges. We have already invested over Rs 180 crore in a flyover at Embassy Manyata Business Park to reduce traffic. We have also invested Rs 30 crore to build a footbridge for safer walking. Our ongoing support for metro expansion is a testimony to our belief in public private partnerships to develop the city’s infrastructure.”
